Departure to discover Amman.

• A citadel housing the remains of the various civilizations that have ruled the region over the centuries (Temple of Hercules, Umayyad Palace).
• Roman Theater, an imposing remnant of this hillside theater that could seat up to 6,000 people in the 2nd century and still occasionally serves as a venue for performances.
• We continue on to the desert castles of Kharraneh, Amra, and Azrak. These monumental structures, built in the desert in the 8th century, were equipped with excellent irrigation systems that enabled the flourishing of Arab-Islamic civilization and served as caravanserais. It is worth noting that caravanserais were once places where merchants could stop with their caravans of goods to rest and refuel along the trade routes of the Middle East.

Departure for a tour of the region:

• Jerash, an exceptional archaeological site known for the excellent state of preservation of its Roman ruins dating from the 1st century B.C.
• Drive through magnificent pine and olive groves.
• In Ajlun, take a tour to explore the Arab-Islamic fortress that served as a defensive stronghold during the Christian Crusades in the 12th century. Spectacular view of the Jordan Valley.
• Return to Amman.

Continue your tour of the region:

• Tour of the city of Umm Qais, known in Roman times as Gadara, a legendary site where one of the miracles of the Bible is said to have taken place. Breathtaking views of the famous Sea of Galilee.

Departure for another day of discovery:

• Madaba, the “city of mosaics,” is best known for the Map of St. George, a remarkable mosaic work that depicts the geography of the region, from the Nile Delta to Lebanon.
• Stop at Mount Nebo, the summit from which Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land before his death. View of the West Bank and, on a clear day, the cities of Jericho and Jerusalem.
• Continuation to the Dead Sea. A magical sunset in prospect.

• Free day to relax and enjoy the therapeutic waters of the Dead Sea, the lowest body of water on earth. Its high concentration of salts and minerals makes for a surreal floating experience!

• Departure for Karak and journey through a magnificent rocky valley and high plateaus.
• Explore theimposing fortress of Karak, built by the Crusaders.
  Head toward Dana and continue this journey through time along the Route of the Kings, the legendary caravan route traveled for centuries by merchants from the East and West.

Departure for a day of discovery:

• A visit to Dana, the gateway to Jordan’s largest nature reserve, which has been designated a biosphere reserve due to the diversity of its flora and fauna. An impressive geological landscape!
• We continue on to Shouback, home to the oldest Crusader fortress in Jordan. The lunar landscape is definitely worth a look!
• Stop at Little Petra to see this impressive complex of dwellings carved directly into the sandstone of the canyon by the Nabataeans in the 1st century.

Departure for a day of discovery:

• Visit to Petra, anarchaeological site of exceptional value listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its entire structure carved directly into the sandstone cliffs—an ancient city home to Nabatean tombs and temples. Free time to explore this remarkable city.

Direction Wadi Rum, in Bedouin country.

• A journey through the magnificent Rum Valley, where ochre-colored sandstone cliffs mingle with expanses of pink sand. A 4×4 Jeep tour through this spectacular desert, followed by an overnight stay in a luxury camp.

• Drive to Aqaba.
