From Tenerife to Gran Canaria, via Lanzarote, this tour—which combines adventure, culture, nature, and local flavor—is an invitation to explore all the different facets of the Canary Islands!
Your itinerary will first—and inevitably—invite you to discover the unique landscapes of the Canary Islands and to appreciate the scale and volcanic power of Mount Teide and Timanfaya, which, during their most recent eruptions, created some of the most surreal scenery imaginable. You’ll be captivated by these lunar landscapes—composed of lava, volcanic craters, and red, black, and ochre earth—which stand in stark contrast to the blue of the surrounding sea.
You’ll wind your way along mountain roads, where you’ll see spectacular cliffs and pass by a few exceptional lookout points offering panoramic views of the islands. In Lanzarote, you’ll be immersed in the world of artist César Manrique, whose works blend seamlessly with the island’s architecture and natural landscape.
Throughout this journey, you’ll visit historic towns and villages that will delight and surprise you. Among other things, you’ll be charmed by the old mansions of La Laguna, the carved wooden balconies of La Orotava, the canals of Puerto de Mogan, and the white houses of Tejada.
Your trip will also offer you opportunities to discover the local specialties of the Canary Islands: visits to banana plantations, vineyards and wineries, rum distilleries, and salt flats will be among the highlights of your trip and are sure to capture your interest.
Ultimately, your trip will end at a seaside resort, where you can enjoy the beach, the ocean, and the sun before returning home with your mind filled with beautiful images and extraordinary memories.

MONTREAL
- Departure from Montreal Airport (P.E. Trudeau) on an international flight to Tenerife.
Note: Arrival at the airport at least 3 hours before departure.

TENERIFE South Airport—CANDELARIA—LA LAGUNA—PUERTO DE LA CRUZ (93 km)
❖ Accommodation: 3* hotel / Transport: air-conditioned vehicle.
- Arrival at Tenerife South Airport in the morning. Meet with a local guide and set out for your first explorations:
- Stop for a brief visit to the Candelaria Basilica, a spiritual and historical site of great importance to the people of Tenerife, known for its statues of the ancient kings
- We continue on to San Cristóbal de La Laguna, the former capital of Tenerife and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll take a tour of this charming city, with its colorful streets and colonial houses, which make it one of the most beautiful historic cities in the archipelago.
- Transfer to the hotel in Puerto de la Cruz to check in.
- Overnight stay on site.

PUERTO DE LA CRUZ–LOS GIGANTES–PUERTO DE LA CRUZ (110 km)

Heading to the west coast of Tenerife:
- Board the boat in Los Gigantes for a 3-hour catamaran cruise. Sail along the coast for an unforgettable whale- and dolphin-watching experience. The waters surrounding the Canary Islands are home to a wide variety of marine species, including playful dolphins and majestic pilot whales. Dine on board while taking in the coastal scenery—impressive cliffs ranging from 300 to 600 meters plunge into the Atlantic Ocean, creating a stunning backdrop for photos. Return to
- In the afternoon: on the way, we’ll stop to visit a banana plantation to learn about its economic importance, how bananas are grown, and the unique characteristics of the Canarian banana, an iconic local product.

PUERTO DE LA CRUZ—TEIDE NATIONAL PARK—LA OROTAVA—PUERTO DE LA CRUZ (121 km)

- Departure for Teide National Park. We’ll travel through the lush La Orotava Valley to reach the park, located in the island’s highlands and designated a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. The park is home to Mount Teide, Spain’s highest peak at 3,718 meters. The landscape features craters, lava flows, and rugged volcanic formations that resemble the surface of the moon. Take in the surreal beauty of Las Cañadas de Teide, a vast volcanic crater offering panoramic views and an unforgettable experience.
- On the way to the picturesque town of La Orotava, famous for its colorful facades, wooden balconies, and cobblestone streets. Tour of its historic center.
- Return trip to the hotel and overnight stay there.

Let’s set out for a day dedicated to local flavors.
- A visit to a winery to discover another side of Tenerife: its wines, agricultural traditions, and volcanic terroir. A cooking workshop designed to introduce the group to some local specialties and enjoy a convivial experience centered on Canarian cuisine. Dinner on site.
- In the afternoon, transfer to Tenerife North Airport to take an internal flight to the island of Lanzarote.
- Arrival in Lanzarote, welcome, and transfer to the hotel in Costa Teguise.

COSTA TEGUISE–LOS JAMEOS DEL AGUA–MIRADOR DEL RIO–COSTA TEGUISE (93 km)

A day spent exploring northern Lanzarote, a region where the island reveals its full volcanic power, its mineral elegance, and the artistic legacy of César Manrique, a native son who profoundly shaped Lanzarote’s visual identity.
- Visit the Cactus Garden in Costa Teguise. Set in a former volcanic ash quarry, this surprising place features thousands of cacti from around the world, perfectly integrated into a setting of black stone, rounded walls, and touches of greenery. It is one of the finest examples of Manrique’s art: transforming a raw space into a harmonious, poetic place deeply connected to the island’s natural environment.
- We continue on to the famous Jameos del Agua, a spectacular site built inside a former volcanic tunnel—another creation by local artist César Manrique, who masterfully blended art, architecture, and nature. With its combination of caves, an underground lake, lava rock, vegetation, and white architecture, the site offers a unique, almost surreal atmosphere. Here, you’ll discover how lava, water, and light come together to create one of the most magical places in Lanzarote.
- In the afternoon: Drive to the Mirador del Río, perched atop the northern cliffs. From this exceptional vantage point, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the island of La Graciosa and the Chinijo Archipelago. With the ocean, the cliffs, and the volcanic colors, this is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Canary Islands.
- Return to the hotel and spend the night there.

COSTA TEGUISE–SALINAS DE JANUBIO–LOS HERVIDEROS–TIMANFAYA–COSTA TEGUISE (100 km)

- Departure for the Salinas de Janubio. Photo stop to capture the largest salt flats in the Canary Islands. A unique landscape—combining a lagoon, white salt, black volcanic soil, and the Atlantic Ocean—offering a striking contrast of colors.
- Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
- We continue on to Los Hervideros, a breathtaking natural site where the ocean crashes against the black lava cliffs. The waves surge forcefully into the volcanic cavities, creating a powerful, almost theatrical spectacle. It’s one of those places where you can truly feel the collision between the earth’s fire and the power of the Atlantic.
- Onward to Timanfaya National Park, the quintessential symbol of Lanzarote. We’ll travel through landscapes shaped by the major eruptions of the 18th century: mountains of fire, seas of lava, craters, and red, black, and ochre-colored earth. The scenery seems to come from another planet, as if the island were opening a door to its volcanic heart.
- Return trip to the hotel at the end of the day.

COSTA TEGUISE–LANZAROTE AIRPORT–LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA AIRPORT–MASPALOMAS internal flights + 49 km

- In the morning, transfer to the Lanzarote airport to catch an internal flight tothe island of Gran Canaria.
- Arrival at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Airport, meet-and-greet, and transfer to the southern part of the island to a hotel in Las Palomas (Playa del Inglés), one of Gran Canaria’s main beach resorts. Check-in.
- The rest of the day is free, depending on your arrival time, so you can enjoy the hotel or the surrounding area.

MASPALOMAS–PUERTO DE MOGAN–AGUIMES–MASPALOMAS (Playa del Inglés) 106 km

- Set out to explore the famous Maspalomas Dunes, one of the island’s most iconic landscapes. It’s the perfect time to take stunning photos of this true golden desert, bordered by the ocean!
- We continue on to Puerto de Mogan, a charming coastal village often called the “Little Venice of Gran Canaria,” with its canals, white houses adorned with flowers, its harbor, and its peaceful atmosphere.
- Continue on to Aguimes, one of the island’s most authentic villages. There, you’ll discover well-preserved traditional architecture as well as numerous sculptures scattered throughout the historic center, offering a deep immersion into the island’s cultural soul.

Set off toward the center of the island, along winding mountain roads, to discover what makes Gran Canaria so unique:
- A sacred site for the Guanches (the island’s original inhabitants), the island’s center is truly fascinating; it has been designated a “Biosphere Reserve” by UNESCO due to the multitude of microclimates found there. For this reason, the island of Gran Canaria is even called “the miniature continent”! An exploratory journey through the peaks and valleys of the island’s heart, from the driest areas to the Canary Island pine forests.
- A drive through Fataga Canyon, a visit to an eco-friendly aloe vera plantation, followed by a drive through the iconic villages of San Bartolomé, Teror, and Tejeda. Stops at several lookout points to enjoy the most magnificent views.
- Return to hotel.

MASPALOMAS-ARUCAS-LAS PALMAS-SANTA CRUZ (Tenerife) (74 km + ferry)

- Departure for the northern part of Gran Canaria to visit Arucas, an elegant town known for its banana and sugarcane plantations, its architectural heritage, and its majestic San Juan Church, built of volcanic stone. Visit the Arehucas rum distillery, one of the most famous in the Canary Islands, to learn about the history of rum in Gran Canaria, its production methods, and the importance of this local tradition.
- In this city, you can also see the majestic Church of San Juan, built with volcanic stone and designed in a style influenced by Antonio Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia.
- After lunch, we’ll head to the iconic village of Teror, a pilgrimage site that is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful on the island, with its colonial architecture and balconies typical of the Canary Islands. We’ll learn about the legend of the Virgin del Pino.
- In the afternoon, explore Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (the island’s capital), its iconic neighborhoods, its urban atmosphere, and its historical heritage. Enjoy some free time to stroll around, grab a coffee, or do some shopping before boarding the ferry.
- At the end of the day, transfer to the port of Las Palmas to take the ferry to Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Duration: 1 hour and 40 minutes.
- Upon arrival in Tenerife, you will be met by a local guide and transferred to the hotel located near Tenerife South Airport.
