From Athens to Crete, via Delphi, Meteora and the Cyclades, an enchanting odyssey that’s sure to awaken your senses!
In Athens, take the measure of the hegemony of ancient Greek civilization by visiting the impressive remains of the Acropolis. Take advantage of your time in the Greek capital to meet the people who make the city tick by visiting its public squares and lively neighborhoods. Then cross the fertile valleys and mountainous landscapes of mainland Greece on your way to Delphi and Meteora.
At Delphi, take in the beauty of this sacred site par excellence of ancient Greece and plunge into the world of Greek mythology, discovering the remains of the temples where the great prophetesses pronounced oracles translating the will of the gods. Then take a step back in time to Byzantine times as you continue to the Meteora region, famous for its immense vertical rock formations, on which stand 16th-century monasteries that seem to be suspended between heaven and earth.
Sail the peaceful waters of the Aegean towards the Cyclades and let yourself be bathed in the unparalleled light of these Greek islands. In Naxos, you’ll be seduced by the romantic ambience of its port, the beauty of its beaches and the bucolic aspect of its picturesque villages with whitewashed houses. Fall under the spell of Santorini, a photogenic island at the heart of a small archipelago of islands whose landscape was shaped by the eruption of a major volcano in the 16th century BC.
Continue on to the sunny island of Crete for a taste of the Mediterranean atmosphere, and take advantage of the proximity of the sea and its beaches for swimming and relaxation. During your stay, let yourself be tempted by optional activities where you can make discoveries at your own pace and according to your interests (discovery of the remains of the most important city of the Minoan era, visits to local craftsmen, extraordinary culinary and gastronomic experiences, sea excursions, etc.).
At the end of this journey, you’ll return home delighted by your stay in the land of the gods and charmed by the art of living of the Greek people!
