Jordan-Egypt Combined Tour
Tours available for group and individual travel
A historical tour that takes you back in time!
Your journey begins in Jordan, where you’ll discover Amman, a capital that vibrates to the rhythm of a young and dynamic population, a university town packed with meeting places, but also endowed with an important ancient heritage, including several Roman remains and an Umayyad palace dating from the 8e s.
You’ll then be transported back in time to the Route of the Kings, the mythical route used for centuries by caravan merchants trading between East and West, and along which you’ll see remains dating back to Roman times and the Crusades. Then, in Madaba, the city of mosaics, you’ll marvel at a masterpiece of Byzantine art at St. George’s Church, and in Petra, you’ll be struck by the beauty of this Nabataean city carved into pink sandstone cliffs and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take an unforgettable dip in the Dead Sea and crown your stay with a desert experience in Bedouin country.
Then it’s on to Egypt, where you’ll be immediately transported back in time. You’ll visit the pyramids of Giza and the majestic Sphinx with the head of a man and the body of a lion, located near Cairo. Your senses will then be baffled as you wander the historic shopping streets of the capital, with its bazaars, cafés, mosques and many Islamic-inspired monuments.
Then, a cruise on the legendary Nile River will take you to the heart of the country, from Aswan to Luxor: a historic journey dotted with architectural wonders. You’ll visit the most beautiful temples dedicated to the gods and goddesses of antiquity and built for the great pharaohs.
Finally, you’ll head off to Hurghada, where you’ll enjoy a few days of relaxation and comfort in a luxury hotel on the shores of the Red Sea. You can enjoy the seaside atmosphere of this paradise, slip your feet into the warm sand and watch a belly dance performance.
And long after you’ve returned home, you’ll still be dreaming of the beauty and splendour you’ve seen while travelling through these fabulous territories!

Departure for a day of discovering the famous monuments of the capital region:
- Pyramids of Giza: a vast funerary complex housing the tombs of the pharaohs and comprising three great pyramids (Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure), the most impressive remnants of ancient Egypt and the only ones of the Seven Wonders of the World to have survived to this day. They are believed to have been built approximately 4,500 years ago, and their construction—facilitated by the existence of a now-dry branch of the Nile River—is thought to have allowed for the transport of stones from nearby quarries. The engineering challenges involved in their construction still leave many unanswered questions in the scientific community today.
- The Sphinx, a monument carved from a single block of limestone, stands before the three famous pyramids. It is the largest monolithic sculpture in the world.
- Mohammed Ali Mosque : an important Islamic shrine in Cairo, built in the heart of the citadel in the19th-century Ottoman architectural style for Viceroy Mohammed Ali Pasha, considered the father of modern Egypt. It was he who ushered Egypt into the industrial age, making the country one of the world’s leading cotton producers. He was also behind the first initiatives to build railroads and dig canals for the transport of goods destined for export. Egypt owes him significant social reforms, notably the country’s first military, medical, and pharmacy schools.
